Exit readiness assessment

Are you really ready to sell your business?

At some point, you'll want to sell your business. When that day comes, a buyer will spend weeks looking for reasons to pay you less. Key person risk. Messy contracts. Unclear financials. Customers who only deal with you personally.

This short self-assessment gives you a first impression of where you stand today. It's a condensed version of the checklist a professional buyer or private equity firm would use. Not exhaustive, but enough to surface the biggest gaps and show you what to work on before going to market.

The assessment covers the five areas buyers always dig into:

- Your financial quality - How transferable your business is without you - Your operational setup - Your growth story and market position - Your human capital

Each theme has 5 questions with 4 possible answers, scored 1 to 4. Maximum per theme is 20 points. Total maximum is 100 points.

At the end, you'll get a score across each theme and a clear picture of where you stand and where to focus before going to market.
